ReplyDeleteThe Hawaiian islands are a chain of islands with dormant volcanoes because the volcanoes created Hawaii, when they were over hot spots. Since the Earth's plates moved, the volcanoes were no longer over a hot spot and had no more lava pouring out of it. The big island of Hawaii does have an active volcano because it is the only island over a hot spot, which is where lava comes out from the Earth's core
